GLAM SKANKS Don Pedro Brooklyn, New York January 25th 2017 Back in November or so, I found out that Adam Ant was coming back to the United States for a small tour and I was introduced to the music of the band that had been tapped to open for him. Glowing reviews of the Glam Skanks from my friend Chris, sent me to their YouTube channel. After a little online research, I found a new band to listen to and a whole new level of excitement for the Adam Ant show. The Glam Skanks are 4 young ladies, Ali Cat, the front woman, Veronica Volume,Read More →

ADAM ANT Kings of the Wild Frontier Tour 2017 Wilbur Theatre Boston MA January 24, 2017 I know in many of my reviews I talk about the bands that influenced me, bands that became popular when I was a young strapping lad, bands that pushed an envelope that has become the standard for so many bands today. In the early 80s, with the birth of a certain cable television channel I started seeing and listening to bands that I had not known existed. Music Videos changed my tastes from the mundane radio fodder I was being fed, to bands such Duran Duran, Dire Straits, TheRead More →

HO– USE OF LORDS Bristol, Connecticut January 20, 2017 I first started listening to House of Lords when they released their first album back in 1988, I mean cmon it had Ken Mary of Alice Cooper on drums and Gregg Giuffria on keyboards at that time, I had to. The vocals of James Christian tho blew me away. Through the years I would have their first three albums playing all the time, but unfortunately my musical tastes would drift into other directions. Over the last 15 years or so, I missed out on some great music by this band until I picked up their lastRead More →

DROWNING POOL December 9, 2016 Stafford Palace Theater Stafford Springs CT 5 O’Clock on a Friday and the only thing on my mind was that I was going to a Rock Show at Stafford Palace that night. Although it is well over an hour drive from home to the Stafford Palace, it is still my favorite place to see a rock show and one of my favorites to shoot at. Plenty of room to move around (unless your planted at the stage for the whole show), reasonable drink prices and fantastic staff. I have covered shows at a lot of venues about the same sizeRead More →

LYNCH MOB November 20, 2016 Mohegan Sun’s Wolf Den Uncasville, Connecticut At the last minute, I decided to tag along with my brother in law to Mohegan Sun Casino. He was headed there for the triple status points that day, but I was headed there to catch a rock show in the Wolf Den. Lynch Mob is the creation of former Dokken guitarist, George Lynch. One of the best guitarists to come out of my favorite era of music, the 80’s. Along with Oni Logan on vocals, Sean McNabb on Bass and Jimmy D’Anda on drums, he was bringing the rock to the Wolf Den.Read More →

LITA FORD The Narrows Center for Performing Arts Fall River, Massachusetts November 1, 2016 Photos & Review by Dan Wenc Lita Ford brought an arena sized performance into the intimate setting of The Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River, Massachusetts. A Tuesday night show in front of sold out crowd who were treated to an extraordinary set list of Lita Ford hits the way an 80’s style rock show should be.
