What do you get, when you bring together the voice of Jag Panzer, the voice of Cage and Denner Sherman AND the voice that once belonged to Judas Priest, Iced Earth and Beyond Fear? One of the most ground shaking bands on the planet.
On Friday March 1st, Poughkeepsie New York experienced ground shaking from The Three Tremors.Harry “The Tyrant” Conklin of Jag Panzer, Sean “Hell Destroyer” Peck of Cage and Tim “Ripper” Owens of Judas Priest, three of Heavy Metals most amazing voices took to the stage along with a band consisting of the members of Cage, Bassist Alex “The Captain” Pickard, Guitarist Dave “Conan” Garcia and Casey “The Sentinel” Trask, Drummer Sean “The Thrashing Machine” Elg.
They started the night off with a few songs off of their self titled debut album, Three Tremors, with “Wrath of Asgard”, “Invaders From the Sky”, “Bullets for the Damned”, and “When the Last Scream Fades”. Then it went into an assortment of non-Three Tremors songs. The Judas Priest classic, “Burn in Hell” as Tim showed the crowd why he was the perfect person to step in for Rob all those years ago, Sean and Harry showed the crowd that they to, had the chops also. The crowd enthusiastically cheered as they prowled the stage and continued on with some more tunes off of their album, “The Cause” and “King of Monsters” before once again another Judas Priest song, one of my favorites “The Sentinel” then “The Pit Shows No Mercy”.
Watching and listening to these three singers, trade back and forth vocal duties and work off each other was amazing. Next up was another original, “Sonic Suicide”. Then Sean stepped up to showcase his prowess with Cage’s song “Hell Destroyer” followed by “Lust of the Blade” and it was Harry’s turn to step even more into the spotlight with Jag Panzers “Black” undeniable stage presence. “Fly or Die” lead into another Judas Priest song, one that had the crowd roaring, “Painkiller”.
Now was the surprise of the night, for the first time ever, they decided to sing a song that they had never done live before, Black Sabbaths, “Heaven and Hell”. One of my all time favorite Black Sabbath/Dio songs. They freakin killed it! Closing out the set for the night, were two more songs off the debut album, “Speed to Burn” and “The Three Tremors”.
What an amazing night, not only did Harry, Sean and Tim totally kill it, but the band was tight and on the mark. Watching Casey Trask play guitar was tiring, that boy was all over as Dave Garcia held down the fort on the other side of the stage with Harry over his shoulder constantly. Hiding back behind all of this but far from standing still was bassist Alex Pickard, wearing sunglasses and hair flying all over. Then there was the beast pounding on the drums, Seam Elg, arms flailing all over. I can see why they brought these guys with them.
The Three Tremors are touring for the next week, catch them, I cant recommend this show enough.
