Music legends Brad Whitford of Aerosmith and Derek St. Holmes of Ted Nugent, have sold tens of millions of records around the world with their traditional bands. Brad Whitford and Derek St. Holmes have reunited for their second record and tour. Whitford/St.Holmes self titled debut received strong radio play and as well as critical reviews followed by a very successful run of US dates.
Whitford St. Holmes played to a sold out crowd at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire in support Whitesnake on their “Greatest Hits Tour”. The fans came out to see a good show and they got just that. Whitford St. Holmes owned the crowd that night with consistently good, hard rocking/bluesy guitar riffs and overall amazing sound. This was just good old fashioned guitar infused classic rock n’ roll. Just when you thought there isn’t any feel good, guitar laden new music out anymore, Whitford St. Holmes has got that covered. Classic music from some classic original rock n’ rollers. If you have a chance to get to a Whitford St. Holmes show, check them out, you won’t be disappointed, chances are you’ll walk away with one of their CD’s too.
Whitford St. Holmes put on a short thirty minute set consisting of five songs and a medley of music from each of the performers “day jobs”. From the vibe in the room that night, it felt like the crowd could have gone for a few more songs from the band. If you went to see this show, you ended up getting added bonus with these guys.
The set list for the night:
-Shapes
-Rock All Day
-Hell Is On Fire
-Shake It
Medley of Last Child, Hey Baby, Train Kept A Rollin’ and Stranglehold
At the conclusion of their set, Brad and Derek announced they would be signing their new CD’s for those who purchased them, there were fans lined up to get the new CD.
