GODSMACK came to the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on July 26th 2019. New Years Day got the night started with a high energy performance. Godsmack’s stage set up was much more scaled down from the last time I saw them in Hartford. Drummer Shanon Larkin was positioned in the middle of the stage on a very low drum riser between the bass and guitar amplifiers.
Godsmack hit the stage at 9:15pm opening up with “When Legends Rise”. And the whole band was full of energy and ready for the night. They changed up their Setlist this tour and focused more on the newer songs. They played a total of seven songs from the newest release “When Legends Rise”. They still played some old favorites like “Whatever”, “Keep Away”, “Awake” and a bunch of others from thier earlier releases. Ofcourse they did the drum duel “Batalla de los Tambores” between drummer Shanon Larkin and singer Sully Erna and ended the night with “I Stand Alone.”
