All That Remains leveled Toad’s Place in New Haven, CT with a killer performance. They started the night of strong and fast, opening with the song “Six” off of their very popular CD The Fall of Ideals. Wasting no time, they kicked into “Stand Up”. Phil Labonte’s vocals were strong as ever and the band sounded amazing. Mike Martin (guitar), Jason Costa (drums) and Aaron Patrick (bass) were tight as hell. Oli Herbert’s riffing was flawless as they blazed through song after song. Midway through the show they slowed it down by playing their cover version of “The Thunder Rolls”, originally performed by Garth Brooks.
Following that they played two more songs from the new release, “Madness” and “Halo”. The 13 song set-list had many fan favorites like “The Air That I breath”, “Last Time”, “What if I Was Nothing”. They closed the night out Heavy by playing “This Calling”, followed by “Two Weeks”. I’ve seen All That Remains several times over the years and I was never disappointed with any of their shows. They always sound great and the show is always high energy.
