Just got back from the best Cathouse in town… Faster Pussycat played their first show in Worcester, Massachusetts since their last performance at the star studded line up of 80’s era bands at the Cathouse Live at Irvine Meadows in California in August 2015. Taime Downe made the trek to Worcester, as part of his cross country motorcycle ride #taimestrek, part of it with Riki Rachtman. The show at the Palladium in Worcester would kick off four consecutive shows in the Northeast.
This was Faster Pussycat’s second show in under a year in Worcester. They last played April 30th, 2015. Faster Pussycat shows are strangely addicting. No matter how many times you’ve heard the songs, live, or on radio, they still play with passion and raw musical energy that keeps the fans coming out everytime. Even though they aren’t out supporting any new albums, it is what the fans want, the classics, live. Faster Pussycat brought out all the classics in their usual raw Faster Pussycat musical fashion. Faster Pussycat opened the show with “Jack the Bastard” and closed with “Where There’s a Whip There’s a Way”. In between they played all the favorite FP classics, “Bathroom Wall”, “Poison Ivy”, “Cathouse”, “Slip of the Tounge”, “Babylon”, “Sex, Drugs & Rock n’ Roll” and of course “House of Pain”, to mention a few that were part of their powerful set that lasted about one hour and forty-five minutes. Hopefully Worcester will be a usual stop for FP when they are out on tour.
