Shrinedom 2017 -Irasburg, VT September 16th 2017
Over the last few years, there has been a few people, that have complained about the fact there is nothing like Baltimore Maryland’s M3 Festival or Melbourne Florida’s 80’s in the Park, in New England. On September 16th, Mount Sinai Shriners #3 will be holding their very first outdoor concert to raise funds to help them continue with their very worthwhile charitable contributions.
The day will consist of live music and family activities, from face painting to appearances from the Shriner’s Fire Brigade, Motor corps., Clowns and Mini Choppers. Always fun to watch, but then I am kinda partial, my father was a Shriner Clown lol.
The festivities begin early with a local band scheduled to start the day off at 9am. Followed by up and coming Country Artists, Tod Pronto (local boy from VT), Caroline Gray, another New England native who is making some noise in Nashville, Out of Boston comes a band named Southern City Band who are another country band looking to crack open the scene in New England. Alec MacGilliray is a former college football player who has turned to country music, and also another New Englander looking to crack the charts
Getting everyone to switch from the cool swagger of Country music to the rambunctious rock that will headline the second half of the day are two of Vermont’s premiere party bands, Raized on Rock and Mindtrap.
The Grandmaster of Rock ceremonies will be making his debut in upstate Vermont, when Eddie Trunk, of VH1’s “That Metal Show”, will begin his duties as host introducing to everyone the rock bands we all loved in the 80’s, Firehouse,, Slaughter, Lita Ford, Warrant and finally Vince Neil, singing all their hits and most loved tunes.
This is something we have been looking forward to in New England, not only a bunch of our 80s rock favorites, but one hell of a showcase of New Englands up and coming Country Western artists. I will be there sporting my Northeast Rock Review t-shirt, stop me and say hi and maybe a pic to!
